ASTA Survey - Results coming soon

ASTA recently conducted a survey of all Sleep Laboratories in Australia and New Zealand, aiming to assess the prevalence and use of portable/limited sleep devices. The survey period formally closed 1st October 2005, and an overview of the results was presented at the recent ASA/ASTA conference during the stimulating ASTA Symposium.

The Executive are currently compiling the data and we will soon be posting the results of this survey on this website.

ASTA Competency Standards Document 2003

The Professional Standards Committee compiled this document, which I am sure will be useful to all members. These standards have been developed to reflect the level of contribution routinely expected from a clinical professional with extensive experience and expertise in Polysomnography.

Competency Standards: This document was completed in 2003. If you have any comments or feedback on this document, in particular if you have implemented it in your centre, please feedback your comments to the Secretary: secretary@sleeptechnologists.com.
